TURTLE BAY RESORT

HOTEL // HONEYMOON FAVORITE

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • Set on absolute beach front acreage, this sprawling resort has room options for everyone
  • Named after the bay the resort faces that is home to green sea turtles
  • Newly renovated with a modern north shore vibe
  • Is a great spot for couples and is great for a honeymoon
  • Has been the location of many movies, most famously 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall'
  • Almost all rooms have an ocean view (varying vantage points)
  • There is a large pool area with lagoon style pool, kids pool and water slide
  • Next to the pool is 'the Point' pool bar which overlooks a popular surf spot and is a great place to watch the sunset
  • There are 7 bars and restaurants on site
  • There is lots to do including miles of tracks to explore on foot, bike or on horseback. There is also surfing, snorkeling and 2 world class gold courses
  • This is a great place to spend a few days relaxing and using as a base to explore the North Shore beaches
  • Located only close to Haleiwa (The main town on the North Shore)

THINGS TO BE AWARE OF

  • The North Shore of Oahu is very 'country' and does not have a lot of restaurant or shopping options
  • The resort is very isolated so you will need a car if you plan to explore
  • Because this resort is so isolated, things tend to be a little more expensive here
  • There is no kids club
  • There is a AUD$75 per night per room resort fee, this includes:
    • WiFi throughout the resort
    • Unlimited Blu-Ray movie rentals
    • Use of GoPro Cameras and Beats Bluetooth speakers
    • Fitness Centre access
    • Snorkeling equipment
