MAUIMaui is known as “The Valley Isle" and is the second largest island in the Hawaiian Islands. Maui is known for its beaches, laid back pace and its romantic sunsets. It is often called the honeymoon island because of how popular it is with newlyweds and the island has been voted best island in the US for more that 20 years.
During the winter months, you can see pods of migrating hump back whales and during summer the weather is perfect for long days on the beach. Maui is home to Haleakala, an extinct volcano that offers breathtaking sunrise and sunset views across the islands. Maui also the has small neighboring islands of Moloka'i and Lanai, both of which offer amazing snorkeling opportunities. |
WEST MAUI - KAANAPLAI AND LAHAINAThe Kaanapali area in West Maui is is home to vast resorts, shops, restaurants and an abundance of activities. Being located on the west side of the island, Kaanapali gets some of the most amazing sunsets in the world which you can watch right from your hotel bar.
The historic whaling town of Lahaina is located about 10 minutes drive from Kaanapali and is home to rustic buildings housing the bustling shops and restaurants of Front Street. During winter whale watching makes Lahaina a favorite port of call for cruise ship passengers. Also on this side of the island is Kapalua, known for championship golf and beautiful beaches with snorkeling just offshore. On our most recent trip, we swam with massive green sea turtles here. |
