HILTON HAWAIIAN VILLAGE

HOTEL  //  CONDO  // FAMILY FAVORITE

WHY WE LOVE IT

  • The Hilton Hawaiian Village is one of the most well known hotels in Hawaii
  • Set on 22 acres and with the widest stretch of Waikiki beach right out the front, the resort is massive which is great for families looking for lots to do in close proximity
  • 8 accommodation towers split between hotel rooms and condos with varying star ratings, makes this a great option for families or groups who want to stay together.
    • Lagoon tower - The most popular of the condo towers and for good reason, a great choice at the HHV
    • The Grand Waikikian - Higher end condo's
    • Kalia tower - Mix of Hotel rooms and suites and well as condo's
    • Tapa tower - Hotel rooms
    • Rainbow tower - Hotel rooms and suites
    • Ali'i tower - The exclusive hotel tower with its own pool area
    • Diamond Head tower - Hotel rooms and suites
    • The Grand Islander - The newest of the condo towers
  • Condos have full kitchens which is great for breakfast and snacks
  • Lots of space for picnics and running around
  • 20 restaurants and bars throughout the resort
  • 5 pools including the largest pool in Hawaii and the longest water slide in Waikiki as well as the famous ocean fed lagoon
  • Located outside of the hustle an bustle of the main part of Waikiki but close enough to walk, even with kids
  • Free Friday night fireworks (every Friday night), even better if you have a ocean view room
  • Walking distance to Ala Moana Shopping Center
  • Is located right at the end of Waikiki so its easy to get in and out of to see the rest of the island.
  • Onsite car rental and tours

THINGS TO BE AWARE OF

  • The resort can get super, over the top, busy especially on Friday nights for the fireworks
  • The pool areas can get jam packed. Not only can it be hard to get lounge chairs, a lot of them are crammed together so you can find yourself laying right up against other people.
  • The pools themselves can also be very busy. There are 5 to choose from so if you're finding one pool busy, try another, especially those away from the beach.
  • The restaurants can be average or super expensive for what they are.
  • The village is located far enough from the main restaurants of Waikiki that they have a captive audience for those not wanting to walk for meals so these can also get busy
  • The village is like its own little city, if you're looking for quiet relaxation, this isn't place for you.
